I am Zainab ChingYin, a caring and dedicated attorney committed to providing compassionate and effective legal representation. With my own practice based in Missouri, I focus on immigration law, landlord-tenant law, family law, and LGBTQ+ legal concerns, serving clients in Jackson County, Missouri, and the surrounding areas.

I earned my Master of Law (LLM), focusing on Child and Family Law, from Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois. Prior to that, I obtained my Juris Doctorate from the University of North Dakota School of Law and my Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. I am currently licensed to practice in the State of Missouri.

With over three years of legal experience, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my solo practice. Before starting my own firm, I worked as an associate attorney with a family law firm. I was also a Child Protective Specialist with the Kansas Department of Children and Family Services. In this role, I maintained an open caseload while investigating allegations of abuse and neglect, developing safety plans to strengthen family units, and collaborating with law enforcement and courts. These experiences have honed my skills in handling sensitive family law matters with care and professionalism.

I am passionate about the law and providing dedicated legal services to my clients.  My goal is to provide you with the support and guidance you need to achieve the best possible outcomes in your legal matters.

Outside of my legal practice, I enjoy cooking, listening to Afro-beats, attending concerts, and traveling. I am also an avid reader and aim to read at least 100 books by the end of the year.
